I love Peter Korn’s book “Woodworking Basics – The Essentials of Craftmanship.” It is so basic. Mill a board four-square. Cut a mortise and tenon. Cut a dovetail. Step and repeat, to build a bench and side table.  Awesome.

With a few modifications, I built the bench. The steps are not documented, but this is a few pictures of the process as well as the end result.
